James 5:15 NLT
“Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.” Is being sick fun? Not at all. But we've all been sick at some point. Sickness is just another result of the fall of man in the garden. But the good news is that Jesus has a solution to all of that!
Sometimes we think that Jesus only healed people while he was here on earth, but he is the same and he still does it today! All we have to do is have faith that he can and ask him in prayer and he will give us what we need. Sometimes it's not what we expect, but he knows what's best.
Yes, doctors and medicine are important, and you should use that care wisely, but as christians the first thing we should run to is to Jesus. In his hands we will always be ok. Sometimes our pain isn't just physical. Sometimes we have emotional pain, and he can fix that too.
The healing that Jesus gives is available for everyone! You can also pray for somebody who is sick so they can be healed. There is nothing impossible for our amazing God.
Here are some ideas to help think about it during the week:
Pray for someone who is sick
Make a get well soon card and write some encouraging words for someone who is sick
Read a Bible Story about when Jesus healed someone
Have faith and pray--Jesus wants to heal you!
Talk about it: Who heals? Who can he heal? Has he ever healed you? Who should be the first person you run to when you are sick? Is there anything Jesus can't heal?
Pray: Dear Jesus, thank you for being so awesome and for all that you have done for me. I believe in your healing power. There is nothing impossible for you. I love you with all of my heart. In your name I pray, Amen.
Santiago 5:15 NTV
